Website and launch-list privacy
Website notice version: September 26, 2026.
This notice covers the coming-soon website and its optional launch-update list. Joining the list does not create an app account or require acceptance of the proposed app terms, arbitration clause or app data-processing permissions below.
Information and purposes
If you sign up, we store your email address, your optional launch-monitor brand, the consent wording version shown beside Notify me and when you submitted the form. We also keep record identifiers, creation and update times, confirmation and unsubscribe status, and email delivery records. If you allow analytics when signing up, we record that choice and may retain approved campaign labels, such as the referring social platform and launch campaign, with your subscription to understand which links lead to confirmed signups. Confirmation emails let you verify your address before receiving Recenter launch news and connection updates. Delivery records help us retry temporary failures and honor bounces, spam complaints and opt-outs.
The website and hosting infrastructure process request information needed to deliver pages, maintain security and limit abuse. The signup service does not store your IP address with your subscription. The application uses an IP-address digest for per-minute rate limits in memory. Hosting services may separately keep request logs for operations and security.
Essential session cookies support forms and protect against fraudulent submissions. Disabling these cookies may prevent a form from working. We also store your optional analytics choice in your browser so we can respect it on later visits.
We do not send launch-list information to the app's AI coaching or speech providers or use it to train AI. We do not sell the launch list or share it for advertising.
Optional website analytics
If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand visits to our public pages and interest in launch updates. Google tags do not load and we do not send analytics measurements to Google before you accept. You can reject analytics and still browse and join the launch list. Permission to receive email is separate from permission for analytics.
After you accept, Google Analytics can use first-party cookies such as _ga to distinguish browsers and sessions. Google receives our selected page-view and launch-interest events, a cookie identifier, browser and device information, and network information such as your IP address to process the request and derive approximate location. We send fixed public page addresses and titles without query strings or fragments. Referring websites are limited to their origin, without a page path or query. We count signup requests separately from completed email confirmations. A confirmation event is eligible only after a new confirmation of a signup that allowed analytics, on a separate success page without an email-link token, and only if that browser currently allows analytics. We may send approved source, medium, campaign and content labels; arbitrary query values are discarded. We do not send your email, form contents, signed email-link tokens, account identifiers, coaching records or voice data to Google Analytics.
We use analytics to improve this website, not to personalize advertising. Advertising consent stays off, and we do not enable Google signals, advertising features or user-provided data collection. We do not load analytics on account pages, signed email-confirmation forms or unsubscribe pages. Google may process analytics information outside your country. Google explains how it uses information from sites using its services.
Our Google Analytics settings retain user-level and event-level data for two months, without extending user-data retention when you return. Aggregated standard reports can remain available longer.
We remember your analytics choice for 180 days on this browser. After you accept, approved campaign labels may be stored in this browser tab for up to 30 minutes so they can accompany your signup. Withdrawing permission clears those browser campaign labels. Use Privacy choices in the footer to change it sooner. Withdrawing permission stops future analytics collection through this website and removes its accessible Google Analytics cookies; it does not automatically delete measurements already received by Google. Browser settings can also remove stored cookies and your saved choice.
Access and retention
Our hosting and database services process this information for us. We keep verified subscriptions in our database and use Resend to send confirmation emails. Resend receives the recipient address, message content and delivery information needed to send email and report delivery failures or spam complaints. We also check existing Resend contact preferences and keep opt-outs synchronized. Before launch announcements, authorized operators may transfer confirmed, active subscriptions to our email service and recheck opt-outs. This use is for launch updates only, not unrelated marketing.
Unconfirmed signup requests are removed after 30 days without a new confirmation request, unless we need a limited suppression record to honor an opt-out, bounce or spam complaint. We keep confirmed subscriptions while managing the launch-update list. Unsubscribing stops future launch updates but leaves a limited record, including your email, consent and unsubscribe status, to respect your choice. Signing up again does not automatically reactivate an unsubscribed address. You can separately request deletion; we will explain any information that must remain for a legal obligation or to honor your opt-out.
Your choices and requests
If you did not request a confirmation email, you can ignore it. Opening a confirmation link does not subscribe you; you must select Confirm subscription on the page. Each launch email will include an unsubscribe link. That link opens a confirmation page where you submit your unsubscribe choice. No account is needed. Visiting the link alone does not change your subscription.
For access, correction, deletion or another privacy request, email legal@gotopo.com. Requests are handled manually. You do not need an account, and we may ask for reasonable information to verify the request. We respond within applicable legal deadlines.

App privacy draft for review
The app policy below is an unfinished preview from September 12, 2026. It describes proposed app practices and contains unresolved fields. Its earlier statements that there is no marketing signup or third-party marketing analytics are historical; the website notice above describes the current launch list and optional website analytics. The app draft is not the notice for browsing or signing up here.

1 Who we are and what this policy covers
[OPERATOR_LEGAL_NAME], located at [BUSINESS_MAILING_ADDRESS], operates Recenter and recentergolf.com. In this policy, Recenter, we, us and our mean that operator. Contact [PRIVACY_EMAIL] with questions about your information.
This policy covers the Recenter iPad app, its account and cloud coaching services, our website and related support. Personal information includes information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you, including through your account, device or practice history.
You can find this policy at recentergolf.com/privacy and our service terms at recentergolf.com/terms. Apple's services and other websites you choose to visit have their own notices. Linking to a provider's policy does not replace our responsibility for processing we arrange.
2 Information we collect
Account information. We collect your email address and credentials to create and protect your account. Our account database stores a password hash rather than a readable password, together with authentication records, confirmation status and relevant dates.
Practice information. We collect session details, shot and club measurements, goals, swing thoughts, handedness and other preferences. Supported launch-monitor equipment supplies measurements when connected. We associate saved measurements with your session and account. We also receive lesson titles, dates and notes, questions, conversation text, feedback ratings and other information you save or submit.
Information generated during coaching. We generate flight estimates, summaries, coaching responses and other derived practice information. We retain records of coaching requests and responses, including selected information from earlier sessions and lesson notes, to maintain continuity. These records can contain your submitted text. An original lesson and a saved coaching record may therefore contain the same information. Deletion affects these copies differently, as explained below.
Support and operational information. If you contact us, we receive your contact details, message and attachments. Our service infrastructure also processes information needed to deliver and secure requests, such as IP addresses, request times and identifiers, errors and service-use records. Avoid sending passwords, medical records, payment-card information or unnecessary information about others.

3 Dictation and spoken feedback
If you dictate a question or lesson note, the app requests microphone and speech-recognition permissions. It uses Apple's speech-recognition service. Recognition takes place on the iPad when the recognizer supports local processing; otherwise audio may be sent to Apple for transcription.
Recenter does not save a microphone recording through its current capture feature. Submitted transcripts are handled like typed questions or notes: they can be stored and included in cloud coaching. This dictation feature does not enroll a voiceprint to identify you or clone your voice.
Before capturing another person's words, obtain the permissions needed for transcription and subsequent use of the text. Someone's words can be processed outside the device even when Recenter does not save a recording. Device microphone permission does not provide that person's permission.
Spoken coaching is separate. Recenter sends selected response text to ElevenLabs to generate audio for playback. The text may include details from your notes or conversation. This feature does not send your microphone recording to ElevenLabs. Turning spoken feedback off stops that audio feature, but does not by itself stop text coaching.
You can manage microphone and speech-recognition permissions in your device settings. Denying microphone access prevents dictation but does not stop processing text you separately submit. Apple describes its handling in Siri, Dictation and Privacy.
4 How we use information
We use information to create and authenticate accounts; receive, synchronize and display practice records; generate coaching and speech; preserve relevant coaching context; and respond to support. When email delivery is enabled, we also send confirmation, password-reset and other necessary account messages.
We use relevant operational records to diagnose failures, prevent misuse, maintain security, manage availability, enforce our terms and meet legal obligations. Feedback helps us assess whether responses are useful and investigate reported problems. This may involve reviewing a rating with its related question, response and relevant context.
Using earlier notes or responses as context for a new request does not, by itself, train or fine-tune a model. Saved context can still contain personal information and remains subject to our retention and deletion practices.
Our Terms limit the content-processing permission to specified service purposes. That permission does not authorize model training on private content, including training a model used only by Recenter or using copies with names or account identifiers removed. A feedback rating or product suggestion does not supply separate training permission.
Our own training and evaluation practices are: [RECENTER_TRAINING_AND_EVALUATION_PRACTICES]. Provider practices are addressed in section 5. Training, testing the quality of responses, saving conversation context and allowing human access are different activities.
5 Providers and other people who receive information
Anthropic. Cloud coaching sends Anthropic selected shot and session information, questions, lesson context, relevant conversation history and derived summaries. Preparing coaching can also send composed text to calculate request size before a response is generated. Omitting an email address does not necessarily make lesson text anonymous.
Anthropic's commercial API policy says inputs and outputs are not used for model training by default, subject to opt-in and applicable terms. It can retain requests, and retention has exceptions. See its commercial training policy and retention policy. The arrangement applicable to Recenter, including retention and permitted review, is: [ANTHROPIC_ACCOUNT_HANDLING].
ElevenLabs. We send ElevenLabs text selected for spoken feedback and technical settings for generating speech. We receive audio for playback. The applicable training, human-review and retention practices are: [ELEVENLABS_ACCOUNT_HANDLING].
Hosting and database services. [HOSTING_AND_DATABASE_PROVIDERS] operate infrastructure that receives and stores account, practice and coaching records.
Email delivery. When account email is enabled, [TRANSACTIONAL_EMAIL_PROVIDER] receives the recipient address and message content, including confirmation or password-reset links.
People operating Recenter. Authorized people may access relevant information to handle requested support, investigate submitted feedback, address service failures, protect security or comply with law. An AI response does not mean a human instructor reviewed your session. Access arrangements are: [HUMAN_ACCESS_DETAILS]. A provider's no-training setting does not by itself rule out storage or authorized human access.
Legal and business recipients. We may disclose relevant information to advisers, authorities or other recipients when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights or address fraud and security threats. A merger or transfer of the business may involve information, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections. We will give notice of material changes in the operator or information handling and obtain permission where required.
Private coaching records are not published to other golfers through the current service. Mentioning an instructor or facility does not give them account access. If you independently export or share material, the recipient's handling depends on your arrangement with that recipient.
6 Your privacy controls and stored information
Cloud-coaching and generated-speech permission controls are: [AI_PERMISSION_CONTROLS]. To withdraw those permissions, use: [AI_WITHDRAWAL_CONTROLS]. Microphone permission, spoken-feedback settings and agreement to service terms serve different purposes.
Withdrawing permission affects future processing covered by that permission. It does not automatically erase information already lawfully processed, and a dependent feature may become unavailable. You may separately request deletion.
Account-confirmation and password-reset webpages use session cookies to support and protect their forms. Browser settings let you manage cookies, although disabling a required cookie can prevent a form from working.
The current marketing pages do not contain advertising placements, advertising pixels, third-party marketing analytics or a marketing-email signup form. Hosting can still process request information. We do not currently use the website to track visitors across unrelated services for advertising.
The website does not change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals. Global Privacy Control and other legally recognized privacy preference signals are different. We honor such signals where they apply to our processing and the law requires it. [SALE_SHARING_STATUS_AND_CHOICES].
The app keeps information for sign-in, settings, unsent captures, upload queues, note drafts and recovery. Some can remain after sign-out so pending work is not lost. Uninstalling the app does not delete cloud-account information. Protect access to your iPad, especially if you share it.
There is currently no Recenter marketing-email subscription. If introduced, its signup notice and unsubscribe choice will be separate from account creation and essential account messages.
7 Retention and deletion
We retain account and saved practice information to operate your account, preserve your selected history and meet the purposes described here. Retention depends on the information, its continuing purpose, deletion requests, security needs and legal obligations. A coaching session's end is not the retention limit for saved history.
Retention periods or criteria for inactive accounts, operational logs, support records, deletion records, backups and provider copies are: [RETENTION_SCHEDULE]. Information retained for a legal obligation or security matter is limited to that purpose and the necessary period.
Individual notes and sessions. Deleting a note removes its original record and updates relevant current records, but information may remain in earlier coaching records or responses and continue to inform an existing conversation. Session deletion removes associated session records; some account-level context and operational deletion records can remain. Contact [PRIVACY_EMAIL] for help addressing retained copies beyond an individual deletion.
Accounts. You can request account deletion in the app at [ACCOUNT_DELETION_PATH]. The service deletes the active account and associated account-owned records, cancels account-related background work, and starts removing identified account data from the initiating iPad. Local cleanup may need a retry if it fails.
Some copies may remain temporarily in backups or provider systems, or where legally required, subject to the arrangements above. We will explain applicable timing and exceptions. Describing retained copies does not override an applicable erasure right.
Account deletion does not erase independently exported files or copies held by people you shared them with. Other devices may need to reconnect or have remaining local information removed separately. Signing out and uninstalling are not account-deletion requests.
8 Privacy requests and other choices
You can review and edit supported information, use available exports and initiate account deletion in the app. An export includes many saved records but may not contain everything relevant to a legal access request.
Depending on applicable law and our processing, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, restriction or withdrawal of consent. Other rights may include opting out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising or certain profiling, or limiting sensitive-information uses, where applicable. Rights and exceptions vary.
Email [PRIVACY_EMAIL] with your request and account email, if you have one. You do not need to create an account to make a request. Do not send your password. We may seek reasonable information to verify identity or an authorized agent's authority and use that information for the request process.
Requests are free unless applicable law permits a fee, which we will explain beforehand. We respond within the applicable legal period, explain permitted extensions or refusals, and describe available appeal or complaint routes. You may contact the same address to appeal a refusal where that right applies or contact the relevant regulator. We do not retaliate against people for exercising privacy rights.
9 Security and processing locations
We use safeguards intended to protect personal information, including authentication, access restrictions and protected communications. Security also depends on operating procedures; no service can guarantee against every unauthorized access or loss.
We will notify affected individuals and relevant authorities of a breach involving personal information when required by applicable law.
Information is processed in [PROCESSING_COUNTRIES], including provider and subprocessor locations. Privacy protections can differ between countries. Applicable transfer safeguards are: [TRANSFER_SAFEGUARDS]. Contact [PRIVACY_EMAIL] for details.
10 Age and sensitive information
The initial service is intended for United States residents who are at least 18 and have reached their local age of legal majority. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact [PRIVACY_EMAIL] if you believe a child submitted information so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.
Recenter is a golf-practice service. Do not store medical records or seek diagnosis, treatment or rehabilitation advice through it. Information about pain, injury or other health matters entered in free text can follow the same storage and coaching flows as other text. Asking you to avoid that information does not remove protections applicable to information we receive.
[SENSITIVE_INFORMATION_NOTICE_AND_CHOICES].
11 Changes and contact
We may update this policy as services or requirements change. We will post the revised version and effective date and give prominent notice of material changes through the website, app, email or another appropriate method. We will obtain permission for new uses where required. Continued use is not blanket permission for materially different processing of previously collected information.
